For Best Brewing

  1. Bring fresh, filtered water to a boil at 212F (100c).
  2. Pour 8 fl oz (236 ml) of water over the filterbag in your cup.
  3. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Wait patiently for perfection.

Black tea is the fully oxidized leaf of Camellia sinensis and requires the most processing. The brewed liquor ranges between dark brown and deep red. Black teas offer the strongest flavors and, in some cases, the greatest astringency.

BLACK TEAS BLENDED WITH THE ESSENCE OF BERGAMOT.

This traditional tea is named after British diplomat Earl Charles Grey, who became Prime Minister of the UK in the early 1830s. Legends have sprung up around how the well-traveled Earl may have come by the recipe for this bergomot-flavored tea, but we're just glad he passed it on to the masses.

If you lose your way, look for the bergamot sun.

A ship packed with crates of fragrant black teas heeled through inky waters toward the clearing of the bergamot sun in search of the Isle of Lavender—to forever softenthis headstrong blend with floral notes.

I love it I am a fan of tea, but this tea just made me a superfan. I love it. It is hard to find a great tasting tea that does not taste like the bag. This tea is wonderful. June 3, 2013
Favorite tazo tea!!! I love the taste and smell of this tea! It's a daily staple for my morning routine March 7, 2013
Great tasting tea Love the citrusy flavor. I especially love the aroma. January 6, 2013
Gift Here's the thing. We purchased this for our Christmas basket to be sent to our family in Croatia. We have visited them in their home and they drink all types of tea as well as strong coffee, They don't consider their day started until they have their tea and coffee. What better gift from the USA than Starbucks. We have had all the products and felt our family would enjoy Starbucks beverages as much as ourselves. December 7, 2012
Wonderful Tea Even though I am a coffee person, I love a cup of Earl Grey at certain times. It's the only tea I get excited to drink, and as others have noted, Tazo is far superior to other brands. After Tazo Earl Grey, they taste weak. What is nice about Earl Grey is that is a relatively strong tea for those who like that, but also the lovely bergamot scent is so pleasant and uplifting. I cannot now be without Tazo EG. (By the way, I am using the sachets, but would be willing to try filterbags. The tea is truly difficult to find in the stores--Starbucks or others.) December 6, 2012
