For Best Brewing

  1. Use one heaping teaspoon of loose leaves per 8 fl oz (236 ml) of 175F (80c) water.
  2. Let it steep for 3 minutes and wait for perfection.

White tea is the least processed of tea types and yields the lightest cup color and most delicate aroma and flavor. Purchased from a wide area of Southeast China, it requires very selective picking and handling of the young, dense tea buds.

WHITE TEA, NATURAL HUCKLEBERRY FLAVOUR, NATURAL CRANBERRY FLAVOUR, BLACK DARJEELING TEA.

White tea is created when the bud and first leaves of the tea bush are carefully plucked and gently air dried. This gentle process allows the brewed tea to remain soft and silky in your mouth versus developing the vegetative characteristics found in green teas.

Not what I expected This tea is quite bland to the taste. Is it healthy? I am sure that better tasting healthy tea options exist.. I would return it if I could. March 4, 2013
Awesome! absolutely delicious! Light, but full bodied. Has a great aroma and the color is beautiful. January 21, 2013
The Tea That Got Me Into Tea This is one of my favorite teas, and definitely my favorite Tazo brand tea. The subtle blueberry flavor with the white tea is what made me start loving tea in the first place. In fact, at one point, I couldn't find the bagged version anywhere, and wrote to Starbucks panicking to ask if they discontinued it. Thankfully they hadn't, and now I keep at least 18 different loose leaf teas at work to choose from. I was happy to discover that this flavor was available in loose leaf tea, as I'd only had the tea bags before. The loose leaf container is rather poor; tea is supposed to be kept in an air-tight container that protects against crushing. The other reason I knocked down a star is the tea had about 3-4 months until its expiration date when I received it. All other loose leaf tea sellers I'd used prior give you at least a year to use your tea. This tea has a wonderful, subtle flavor to it, and the leaves I received are rather large; it's not a finely milled tea, which is good as it helps prevent the drudge that gets through your strainer. I was a little put out at the appearance of the leaves, though, since genuine white tea will have a white fuzz on it (hence its name), and that is not the case with this tea. The leaves look more like green tea leaves in that sense, though the strong, grassy green tea flavor is not there. I recommend this tea especially to people who have had a bad experience with black or green teas, and don't think tea can taste good. Be sure not to steep it too long (3-4 minutes should be fine), as that will make any tea bitter, and you'll have an excellent, lightly flavored, antioxidant rich, calorie free beverage to enjoy.
