Recipe for great coffee

  1. Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
  2. Grind beans just before brewing:
    • Coarse for coffee press
    • Medium for automatic drip
  3. Measure 2 tbsp (10 g) ground coffee for every 6 fl oz (180 ml) water.

To help preserve that fresh flavor, keep this bag sealed tight in a cabinet (not in the refrigerator) and brew within a week of opening.

Each coffee requires slightly different amounts of time and temperature during the roasting process to create a cup at its peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor. We classify our coffees in three roast profiles so you can easily find your desired flavor and intensity.

  • Blonde: Blonde-roasted coffees have a shorter roast time, lighter body and mellow flavors.
  • Medium: Medium-roasted coffees are balanced with smooth and rich flavors.
  • Dark: Dark-roasted coffees feature a fuller body and robust, bold flavors.

Nice contrast to the Dark roasted Espresso Roast I use the Willow as a mix for the Dark Espresso Roast, and create a custom blend to be used for espresso shots at home. I use a 2-dark to 1-Willow ratio and have a very nice blend. When using the Dark Espresso alone, it tends to be too bitter. Of course the Willow is a very light blend and would not hold up very well as espresso - but blended they are terrific. May 11, 2013
LOVED IT!!!! I met my parents for coffee one Saturday. I had tried the Veranda but did not care for it, so my dad bought me a cup of the Willow Blend. It was love at first taste! I like my coffee more mild so sometimes it is tricky to get the bolder roasts to taste the way I want. All I had to do to the Willow Blend was add a couple sweeteners and I was good to go. The caffeine rush was an added bonus. If you like dark roast this probably is not for you, but if you like tea or more mild coffee Willow Blend is worth the try. May 6, 2013
Love this coffee! Tried the Veranda blend when it first came out and I didn't like it that much so I went back to Pike place. Then I saw and tried this Willow blend and I love this blonde roast! If you didn't like Veranda try Willow blend. April 19, 2013
Great, except for ... I didn't think I ordered whole bean but that's what I got and I don't have a grinder so that's kind of a bummer! I appreciated the 2 gift cards though. April 2, 2013
MAXIMUM CAFFEINE! Max. caffeine is what BLONDE ROAST offers altho' the word BLONDE with an E is usually only in reference to a woman w/blonde hair. I will take MAX CAFF over BOLD TASTE (like in French Roast) any day. And too... max caff means a lot less HIGH HEAT processing. :) The less processing of any kind, the better March 18, 2013
