Recipe for great coffee

  1. Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
  2. Grind beans just before brewing:
    • Coarse for coffee press
    • Medium for automatic drip
  3. Measure 2 tbsp (10 g) ground coffee for every 6 fl oz (180 ml) water.

To help preserve that fresh flavor, keep this bag sealed tight in a cabinet (not in the refrigerator) and brew within a week of opening.

Each coffee requires slightly different amounts of time and temperature during the roasting process to create a cup at its peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor. We classify our coffees in three roast profiles so you can easily find your desired flavor and intensity.

  • Blonde: Blonde-roasted coffees have a shorter roast time, lighter body and mellow flavors.
  • Medium: Medium-roasted coffees are balanced with smooth and rich flavors.
  • Dark: Dark-roasted coffees feature a fuller body and robust, bold flavors.

Starbucks Tribute Blend® is a post-roast blend, meaning the coffees were blended after being roasted. Our roasters chose to make this a post-roast blend so they could highlight the berry notes of the sun-dried Ethiopian coffee.

Behind every cup of coffee, there's a story.

See the people who take such great care in the harvest and processing of our whole bean coffees.

Starbucks® Tribute Blend

Here's to you.

What began as a once-in-a-lifetime coffee--a tribute to our customers, partners and roasters--has become one of our most loved and requested blends. It's the culmination of the finest arabica beans, innovative farming practices and never-ending passion. Now it's an annual spring tradition that's worth the wait. This inspired blend features four of our favorite coffees: sun-dried beans from Ethiopia with a flourish of dark cherry; Aged Sumatra, loved for its syrupy body and cedary spice notes; juicy, herbal coffees from Papua New Guinea; and our Colombia coffee, bright, balanced and nutty. Pair this intense, deeply layered coffee with friends, neighbors and warm spring days.

TRIBUTE 2013 I wait for this coffee every year... my very picky husband and I both love this coffee. It is bold enough to have the coffee taste I love, but has a bright enough taste to let him enjoy it as well. Cherry and chocolate flavors, who could complain, DELICIOUS! April 28, 2013
Love At First Sip. I went into my local Starbucks to get my regular blend( Gold Coast) and they know that I like a bold coffee and he told me about the special on Tribute. Me being a coffee man I said that I will try it, I am a sucker for 2 for 1 . As I was leaving I said you know that I will be back and tell you about it if I don't like it.... and to my surprise my wife and I both loved the blend. Going back to stock up on this blend, I wish that it was a everyday blend. April 26, 2013
I DUMPED MINE! It was nearly 9:00 pm and I was out of coffee. Both of my thermos liter bottles and both of my travel cups were empty. I stopped by a Starbucks to get some dark roast (prefer French Roast) to get me home. At this point I had been up and on the road to a class in Missouri since before 4:00 am. I still had a 90 minute drive home. So they brewed some of this and said it was a dark/bold roast. It tasted like a bitter medium roast. It was awful. I dumped mine and struggled to stay awake the last 90 minutes home. What a waste of good cream. (Yes, the real stuff!) If I could give this coffee a zero, I would. If you like French Roast, you may not like this stuff. I sure didn't. Yes, I have since bought two more thermos liter bottles for a total of four. Now if we can just raise that speed limit. In the words of Goldilocks... ...this coffee is "juuuust right." The Sumatra certainly makes this richer and stronger than your average morning brew, but the addition of the Columbian takes the edge off just enough to make this coffee smooth and eminently drinkable. I highly recommend. April 25, 2013
Great tasting coffee I love this coffee. Such a great strong brew and smooth! April 22, 2013
