Starbucks® Electric Frother
Good Product, but...
Within a day of receiving my Electric Frother, Starbucks decided to slash the price of this unit. Rumors are because there is a high failure rate with this design, and they may be trying to sell off this inventory before introducing a new model. Whereas a have no problems currently with mine, I am extremely careful no to right the electric contact points wet. I do this because of the other postings for this product.

Great frother but problematic
I absolutely love this frother; however, I have had 3 in the last 4 months. I have had one throw out the milk and scorch the bottom and the others not work when hitting the start button, so I am hoping I just had some bad luck, but I would recommend that Starbucks take a hard look at their design. But in the end, I love this frother and look forward to it daily!

Nice single cup of frothed milk.
We bought this frother even after reading some of the poor marks it had received by others.
This is a great little frother and the foam has very small/dense bubbles. We used half and half, fresh, and were very impressed with the heat, foam quantitiy, and foam density.
We purchased this for use in our Motorhome and as such, will not have a high daily demand. If we have long-term problems, I will repost my ratings and comments.

Great Frother While it Lasts
As with many of the others here, my frother worked great for 2-3 months. I used Almond Milk and it foamed like meringue - wonderful. Then it stopped. I think the bottom of the frother may have become wet while sitting in the sink and then when I placed it on the base, it shorted out. If you can be certain to keep the base absolutely dry - no moisture whatsoever - it might keep working. Starbucks may want to review the design as this appears to be a common problem.

Not good for fat free milk!
Unfortunately I use only fat free milk and this doesn't work unless you use 2% or more.
