Recipe for great coffee

  1. Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
  2. Grind beans just before brewing:
    • Coarse for coffee press
    • Medium for automatic drip
  3. Measure 10 g (2 tbsp) ground coffee for every 180 ml (6 fl oz) water.

To help preserve that fresh flavor, keep this bag sealed tight in a cabinet (not in the refrigerator) and brew within a week of opening.

Each coffee requires slightly different amounts of time and temperature during the roasting process to create a cup at its peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor. We classify our coffees in three roast profiles so you can easily find your desired flavor and intensity.

  • Blonde: Blonde-roasted coffees have a shorter roast time, lighter body and mellow flavors.
  • Medium: Medium-roasted coffees are balanced with smooth and rich flavors.
  • Dark: Dark-roasted coffees feature a fuller body and robust, bold flavors.

Ethiopia

On the ancient slopes flanking Africa's Great Rift Valley, coffee trees first emerged from the rich, volcanic soil. From these ninth-century highlands arabica coffee beans began their long journey from Ethiopia to the rest of the world. Today our master roasters have created an entirely new way to experience these treasured beans. An exquisite blend with a reverence for the ritual of coffee, honoring Ethiopia's bountiful legacy. With a velvety soft texture and floral, peppery spice notes, this is our tribute to the birthplace of coffee.

Hit it Hard! I tried to drink as much of this as I could to make it a poplar item so they would keep it around! I hope it helped cause I really enjoy this blend! April 4, 2014

Ethiopia Coffees Always Smooth Ethiopia's climate produces an all-day-long drinkability, a smooth and refreshing libation for a full day's work. March 27, 2014
Starbucks' Best? Ethiopia very quickly became my personal "house" coffee. Bold enough, but not enough to weary the palate of bitterness. March 25, 2014
I'm a fan These Ethiopia beans are outstanding. I hate to admit it, but some mornings I'm too sleepy and groggy to grind my beans and then brew a pot of coffee. I would revert to making an iced latte with my Verisimo espresso machine or have a can of Starbucks Doubleshot. So, I took these beans to a nearby Starbucks store to have them ground for me. Now, it's a snap to get coffee brewed. Ethiopia beans make an outstanding, bold cup of coffee. I love it! March 23, 2014
