It doesn't leak but....
doesn't even keep coffee warm (let alone hot) indoors. I bought this because I needed an insulated mug that did not leak. For the size, weight, and price I expected much more. I use it only as a last resort and only indoors during warm months now. Even if I preheat the mug with boiling water, I have to reheat my coffee in about 30 minutes. This was such disappointment that I felt obligated to write my first review.

Worst Mug Ever
I had another travel mug from Starbucks that I absolutely loved, but I lost it on a roadtrip to California. This one looked cool and it had double steel walls like my old cup. After the barista assured me that it was a good mug, I bought it. Big mistake. The cup gets hot and the coffee gets cold very quickly - and it leaks around the seal. The lid has been difficult to get off and now it won't come off at all. I've been trying all day - heating the cup, banging it against the counter, nothing works. My husband tried tonight and he can't get the lid off, either. It won't budge at all. I wish I could return it but I don't have the receipt anymore, so I'm here to warn other people instead: Don't buy this cup!!

Brrrrrrr....Cold Coffee!
In need of new travel mugs, my wife and I went to Starbucks to pick a couple up. She decided to purchase a Starbucks Tumbler that was double wall insulated. I went with old Rollerball here. Since we were at Starbucks and heading out of town for a road trip, of course we filled up our new travel mugs with piping hot and delicious Starbucks coffee. The coffee we ordered was the same flavor, and came from the same dispenser. We headed out on the road, enjoying our new cups and the hot coffee. 15 minutes later, something didn't seem right. "Is your coffee cold?" I asked my wife. She took a sip and responded "No, it's actually still sort of burning my mouth!". I sipped mine again - it definitely wasn't burning my mouth. In fact, it definitely wasn't even hot. I took a sip from my wife's mug and sure enough, her coffee burned my mouth.
Recommendation - buy the Starbucks travel mug with the double wall insulation if you like hot coffee!

Cool feature but cold coffee
Loved the rollerball feature so I put it on my wishlist and my wife gave it to me on Christmas. Big disappointment. It's a tight fit in a standard car holder but the big problem is the lack of insulation. The tumbler gets hot to the touch and the coffee cools off in about 1/4 the time , 1/2 hour vs. 2 hours, as my old Starbucks mug which I loved.

Spills and Cools off faster
This is my 4th strabucks coffee cup and I was hoping to get a cup that holds it warmer longer and does not cause spills. Unfortunately it does not do either effectively.
It spills coffee through the threads whichis bigger concern for me. However tight I shut, it still spills if it falls over in my bag. I ride the bus and it is important for me to preserve coffee within my cup and there have been few accidents already.
I am beginning to think that Starbucks can make good coffee but not travel mugs.
