I have been waiting for a year to buy a machine. The one for $499 but it was never in stock. I decided I liked the reveiws on this one so I bought it.
Its VERY easy to use except you need to read the manual a few times. At first I was confused but after 2-3 Latte's later I used the wand with no prob. Even got a few tips from the local Starbucks shop when I bought the expresso making kit.
Leaks a little but nothing to be alarmed of. I recommened this machine to anyone looking.
We have been through quite a few expresso machines - many cups, with many users. Everyone loves this one - great coffee - and once you get the hang of it, easy to use.
My sister and other friends had this model, and it produced fantastic results every time. I finally bit the bullet and purchased one for our home. I actually brew the espresso the night before, 3 double shots. In the morning I heat the milk to make a caffe latte and it's the perfect temperature to drink on my way to work. My husband drinks one at home and one for the road. Wish I'd purchased it sooner.
Love the machine, however it was not easy to get it operational - took 4 different people to figure it out - most had extensive "expresso making" experience. Should be a better way to communicate the how to's on this.
I have had this machine for about a month now. The shots pulled have been great and consistant, far better than the Athena (which was an excellent machine too) The Sirena is much quieter than all the other machines I have owned. I love the fact that the Sirena lets me know when the water is running low so I don't burn out the pump.
