The Virtuoso by Baratza has many of the winning features of the Maestro Plus along with commercial grade components, higher performance and sleeker style. With the Virtuoso, it’s now easier than ever to make professional quality coffee, whether at the home, the office or your café.
In additional to all the great features of the Maestro Plus, the Virtuoso includes commercial grade conical burrs made in Italy, a 480 watt DC motor, a new shape and a beautiful brushed-satin metal top.
I have really enjoyed this product. I have had blade grinders in the past and found them to be a pain to work with and they haven't given great results. This machine is the complete opposite. Pour the beans in and hit the timer. You can even buy some "grindz" to use every month or so to clean the unit. Hassle free product.
I have only had my Burr Grinder a short time but love it. I had a previous Starbucks Burr Grinder that lasted about five years - used every day at east once - it was not a commercial grade but I was very pleased with it also. I really like the new features this one has. I would recommend it to anyone.
I made a mistake of buying a $50 burr grinder, which was noisy, messy and got clogged up after a few days of use. This grinder is very solid, fairly quiet and best of all it makes perfect grinds. Worth every penny.
Weve had the grinder for two weeks and it has plugged only once. My goal was to find a quality espresso grinder, not really for grinding drip. However, a true espresso grinder carries the artificially high price tag as well. Kind of silly since my research shows the market exists for a good grinder (fine control of grind, consistent grind, and no plugging in the chute) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, say $150. Anybody know of such a product?
