Matcha Green Tea Latte with Honeydew Concentrate by Tazo Tea

Item Size: Two 32-oz. Cartons

A delicious blend of lightly sweetened Matcha green tea from Japan, accented with hints of melon and ripe tropical fruits. With one sip, you reincarnate the original spirit of enlightenment that may have inspired the Japanese tea ceremony.

Matcha, the ceremonial green tea of Japan, is made from freshly picked green tea leaves ground into a fine powder and mixed with water in the traditional fashion. With guidance from ancient scrolls and a haiku or two, Tazo® adds hints of honeydew melon and tropical fruits to create a combination that, when mixed with milk, is equally inspiring served hot or over ice.

Ingredients: An infusion of (water, matcha and other green teas), organic cane sugar, honeydew juice concentrate, natural fruit flavors, gum, Arabic, xanthan gum, guar gum and citric acid.

Tazo® was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo® has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo® continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing.

Unlike other tea companies, Tazo® purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.

The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo® constantly taste and determine which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.

The name Tazo® has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.

Tazo® is kosher certified by KSA.
Food Pairings:
Delicious as a dessert on its own, but pairs well with breakfast pastries and lighter meals. Simply combine the concentrate with equal parts milk or soy milk, heat or serve over ice, and enjoy.
Time of Day:
Enjoy any time of day, great alternative to espresso and coffee-based drinks.

I love this green tea and I think it is similar to the in-store latte and much, much cheaper! I do wish you could buy in stores since the shipping cost was $13 for a $20 purchase of 4 cartons of tea.

I love Starbucks Green Tea Latte and am so glad I found out about the Concentrate. I still go to Starbucks and get the Latte there but on a cold winter's night or Sunday afternoon when I want a hot pick me up this is what I choose in lieu of hot chocolate.

Wish this could be purchased at local Starbucks locations - because it is a concentrate, and weighs quite a bit, the shipping costs are considerable.

QUality product that tastes like real matcha and makes nice green tea latte`s, however I wish it would come sugar free or with xylitol or soemthing. It's way too sweet for me and pushes my carb allowances if I go over one cup. Overall though if you don't have sugar issues this is a good product.
