Matcha Green Tea Latte with Honeydew Concentrate by Tazo Tea
Item Size: Two 32-oz. Cartons
A delicious blend of lightly sweetened Matcha green tea from Japan, accented with hints of melon and ripe tropical fruits. With one sip, you reincarnate the original spirit of enlightenment that may have inspired the Japanese tea ceremony.
Matcha, the ceremonial green tea of Japan, is made from freshly picked green tea leaves ground into a fine powder and mixed with water in the traditional fashion. With guidance from ancient scrolls and a haiku or two, Tazo® adds hints of honeydew melon and tropical fruits to create a combination that, when mixed with milk, is equally inspiring served hot or over ice.
Ingredients: An infusion of (water, matcha and other green teas), organic cane sugar, honeydew juice concentrate, natural fruit flavors, gum, Arabic, xanthan gum, guar gum and citric acid.
Tazo® was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo® has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo® continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing.
Unlike other tea companies, Tazo® purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.
The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo® constantly taste and determine which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.
The name Tazo® has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.
Tazo® is kosher certified by KSA.
Food Pairings:

I really liked this one I usually prefer Chai Latte concentrate but this one isn't bad to have around at all!
Doesn't taste anything like the blended green tea drinks served at the shops. If not the same product then shouldn't sell it without stating so. Very disappointed. If the honeydew is what changed the flavor, then offer one without the honeydew. I now have TWO containers I don't want because they only sell in two container packages when purchased over the internet.
I really love Starbucks Green Tea Latte/Frappacino and have tried & tried to duplicate it. Now I have what Starbucks uses so instead of having to drive to the next town for my fav drink, I just steam the milk and add the TAZO! I've got the real thing!
After trying the Matcha Green Tea both as a latte and as a frozen beverage I was eager to purchase some for home. It is only offered online and that meant having to purchase two containers and pay a hefty shipping charge. Now that I have the two containers of expensive liquid I am very disappointed. I've tried creating a latte and tried it frozen--neither are as good as what you can purchase at the counter.
I ordered this hoping it would enable me to create my beloved green tea latte at home, but much to my dismay, it's nothing at all like the stuff they use in stores. While I realize they use a powder of matcha and sugar (and maybe something else?), I thought perhaps this is a liquid version of the same thing. Nope, it tastes more like melon than anything. Save your money and buy pure matcha and blend it with sugar. At least it will somewhat resemble their green tea latte. I really wish they would sell the mix they use.
