Chai Filterbags by Tazo Tea

Item Size: Two 24-piece Boxes

A rich blend of teas and spices in the style of the Himalayas, Organic Tazo® Chai is a sensual experience that comes from many exotic parts of the world. Indian and Ceylon black teas are combined with sweet cinnamon, cloves, and other exotic spices.

Ingredients: Black teas*, ginger root*, cinnamon bark*, black pepper*, cardamom seed*, cloves* and star anise seed*.

Tazo® was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo® has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo® continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing.

Unlike other tea companies, Tazo® purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.

The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo® constantly tastes and determines which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.

The name Tazo® has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.

Tazo® is kosher certified by KSA.

*Organically grown.

It's great to have a real cup of chai without having to travel to India! I am a fan of the chai stalls in India, having had many a cup from Dwarka to Chennai. There's nothing better to soothe the weary traveler than to rest one's bum on a bench and have a decent chai. And one's day should always start with a cup just after dawn. Three of these bags in a venti mug, a spot of half-and-half or thick powdered milk (I like Kiwi or Aussie) and bit of sugar and I am transported to the sub-continent. This is the best chai I have found in the U.S. and to me, it's way better than the store-concocted Chai Tea Latte, made from concentrate. Why, you ask? Because this has the proper amount of ginger and black pepper to make it really tangy, like the chai I had from the cart in Ooty, which I recommend you try someday. The guy has a cart near the Tibetans and Kashmiris in the Ooty market. This is only second to his, but to be the second greatest chai in all the world is not too shabby. Enjoy.

First time I've purchased this tea. Price is good, taste is good but bags tend to fall apart. Has happened more than once with this box of tea bags so I don't think it's an isolated occurance.

Using the Chai concentrate seems to taste better than brewing the tea yourself, but I still enjoy the tea bags too.

This "Tea Dust" is much less expensive, better tasting, and comes in much more environmentally friendly packaging than your new whole leaf tea. I was stocking up to supply me while I look for a new chai brand to purchase.
