Decaffeinated Tazo® Chai is a sensual blend of exotic spices and rich black teas relieved of their caffeine. Naturally decaffeinated under the watchful eye of a Tazo® tea shaman, the leaves first surrender their nataive caffeine, then joyously mingle with African rooibos, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, to create a hearty potion which can dance on the tongue all night long. Sweeten and serve with milk (or yak butter, when available).
Ingredients: Naturally decaffeinated black teas, rooibos, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, chicory, cloves, black pepper, natural flavors, and star anise.
Tazo® was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. By using high quality ingredients and a tremendous amount of experience and creativity, Tazo® has produced unique products that create an emotional connection with the consumer at many levels. Tazo® continues to expose consumers to the ancient traditions of tea, but presents this in a way that is bold, interesting and intriguing.
Unlike other tea companies, Tazo® purchases teas in their original container as packed at the garden to ensure the tea inside the chest or bag stays garden fresh and is not exposed to the heat and moisture in a blending facility at one of the tea shipping points.
The blending process is a very subtle art form that relies on subjective measurement of taste, color and aroma. Tazo® constantly tastes and determines which teas will go in which blend in what percentage, so flavor profiles remain consistent and of the highest quality possible.
The name Tazo® has roots in many civilizations. Tazo actually means "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and was used as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties.
Tazo® is kosher certified by KSA.

I've been looking for Tazo decaf chai in stores for a while, but no one in my area carries it. I love their non-decaf, but I have been trying to cut back on my caffeine intake. I've tried other decaf chai teas from other companies, but none of them come even close to the Tazo organic chai. I will admit that even the Tazo decaf tastes a little different, but it is close enough that I am satisfied, and that's what counts.
I really enjoy your Tazo Chai Tea bags. The liquid concentrate was good but too sweet for my taste. For years I have enjoyed the Chai TAZO Tea bags with soy but when my doctor told me to cut back on caffine I tried your Decaf Chai tea bags and NIRVANA!!!
One of your local Starbucks (Wayne, NJ) stocks the tea bags but I mostly buy them online now.
I absolutely love this tea. It's the only Decaffeinated Black Spiced Chai Tea that I have found, and it's absolutely great, and well worth the price. I just wish Starbucks would carry it in their stores so I could avoid having to pay a $7.99 shipping fee.
