Why is there no foam when I steam the milk?
Practice is the key to achieving the type of foam you desire. We recommend pouring refrigerated milk into a chilled stainless steel steaming pitcher for the best result. Also, heat the milk to approximately 150-170 degrees Fahrenheit (use a cooking thermometer). If you’re not getting the foam you desire, check the following variables:
Is the milk cold enough prior to steaming?
Foaming must be done before steaming milk.
Pitcher is too full of milk, or not full enough.
Steam knob is open too far or not far enough.
Steam wand is submerged too far below the surface of the milk.

The Espresso Accessory Kit does help make a better latte. The one caution I have is that you need to fill the pitcher only half-way full or it does not pour well at all.
When the kit came to me I could not wait to open it. I was not dissapointed, I use it every day and find it makes it alot easier to get the best cups of espresso possible.
I purchased my Espresso machine and the accessory kit at starbucks.com. The kit has made it so easy and convenient to brew my morning Latte. Everything a person needs to brew Espresso, make Cappucinos & Lattes, is included. I have it sitting by my machine, hardly takes up any counter space, it looks nice & neat, and everything I need is at my finger tips! I love that all the pieces fit together in the holder which sits inside the metal pitcher.
Two of my friends really liked my machine, so they each purchased one for themselves. Since I enjoyed my kit so much, I bought a kit for each of them and now they too are enjoying their machines!
