A full-bodied coffee with a dense cocoa finish, Sulawesi is precious and in great demand. Many coffee tasters use words like "herbal" and "spicy" to describe the complex flavor present in the best Sulawesi coffees.
More about this coffee: Kalosi is the name of the historical coffee-trading market town, located in southern Sulawesi, in the region of Enrekang.
Origin:
Food Pairings:
Blends well with rich, creamy cheese and sweet, buttery caramel. There is very little acidity in this coffee so try it with crisp apples and pears for contrast.
Origin Notes:
Coffees from Asia are popular for their full body and mellow, earthy flavors. Coffees from the Pacific islands are typically lively with herbal undertones.

I think it is good but not as distinctive as others I have tried.
This blend is just plain bland and bad. I cannot distinguish nor taste the purported sweet molasses. Nothing "sweet" about it. However, it does taste like mushrooms maybe but that does not a desirable coffee make.
Do yourself a favor and skip this blend. A loser. Good thing it is only seasonally available. I will avoid it in future years. Better to go with Starbucks more traditional blends and beans instead.
I have been drinking Starbucks for over 15 years and have liked every coffee I have tried. This is the worse. Too earthy and actually gave me heartburn. I prefer Bold and Extra Bold, so I am use to the strong coffees, but this was really bad. Sorry.. I will not be ordering it again. My favorite all time is Kenya and second favorite Sumatra.
Thank you,
Sherry
I find this bean one of my favorites, it has that earthy african quality combiined with a smooth taste that reminds me of chocolate milk. This coffee is truely an exceptional bean roasted to perfection yielding an extra bold flavor filled with a rich carmel like quality.
A little sharp on the tongue and not a superior roast by any means but a good every day roast for those who want an average cup of coffee but if we are after an average cup I suppose we would not be browsing Starbucks selections...true enough? The price is a little high for this one...I think not worth the sticker price by any means. I will not likely select this one for purchase again.
