Electric Moka Espresso Maker by DeLonghi
In just a few simple steps, you can enjoy a bistro-style espresso from your own kitchen. This Electric Moka looks much like the traditional Italian espresso makers, with an octagon-shaped design and aluminum exterior. The unit detaches from the base to travel where you are: in the office, on the patio, even at your bedside. Simply fill the aluminum boiler with water and the filter with ground coffee. After only a few minutes, the machine will deliver authentic Italian espresso into the container. Then, just remove and serve. The cool-touch handle and auto shut-off features make it extra safe to operate. Plus, it keeps your espresso warm up to 30 minutes. A filter adapter lets you choose three to six cups.

this is a great way to make espresso in a dorm where no hot surfaces are allowed, the filter does allow some coffee grounds to fall into the water (not coffee) making it a bit harder to clean after your done, but its a great carefree way to some espresso
Order this and you will get NO surprises. Plug it in and you have six demitasses of coffee. It even keeps what you don't drink warm for an hour! It also looks neat on a counter!
The machine does make wonderful coffee, HOWEVER, you will need to place a metal lid of some sort UNDER the plastic one or it will SHATTER and eventually the bottom will fall apart and it will be unusable. Mine fell apart in about 3 months. It would be nice if they offered this with a metal pot. Use potholders to make a second pot!
I don't know why an easier method could not be developed for removing the coffee ground holder from the base unit to empty it out. I have to stick my finger nail under the edge and hope the whole thing doesn't spill all over the place.
Also, why don't they make a bigger unit that would make more coffee?
