Sipping espresso has been elevated to an elegant occasion with these Assam highball glasses by Bodum. Winner of the European iF Design Award, the Assam double wall glasses can be use the whole year round. You can use them for your cold drinks in summer and hot drinks in winter. They are made of a very strong but yet light weight glass (borosilicate glass). They can safely go in the dishwasher and microwave. No coaster needed.
Bodum's insulated glassware is made from durable Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass that weighs less than traditional glassware. Used to make scientific lab glass, borosilicate glass (medical grade glass) is stronger than traditional "soda-lime" glass and can be used for everything from drinkware to cookware. Some people may perceive the glass to be "thin" as they hold it. It is important to understand the difference between borosilicate and soda lime glass. Borosilicate glass doesn't need to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass that is resistant to temperature swings and scratching. Because the particles are held together so tightly, borosilicate glass is dishwasher safe and will not become cloudy over time; you can rest assured that after 100 cycles, the glass will be as clear as the day you bought it. Simply treat it as you would any glass product and it will stand up to every day use.
Our insulated, double wall glass is handmade by expert artisans. Because this glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness & weight. We suggest placing the liquid first and then the ice. Please also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded dishwasher. These glasses will help to keep hot drinks warmer and cool drinks cooler. For best results retaining heat, pre-heat the glass before use. Dishwasher & microwave safe.

I bought these glasses as a gift, and did not find that one was broken until they were used. However, the person I bought them for has small hands, and liked the feel and idea of the glasses. So far it has only been used for cold beverage, but plans on coffee in the AM.
Nice novelty glassware that is a very functional alternative to heavy coffee mugs or plastic or metal travel cups. Keeps the drink warm a little longer and doesn't add any hint of plastic or metallic taste as some travel cups can do. Will be ordering the matching shorty set too.
These glasses are awesome. They are perfect for both cold and hot beverages. However due to the double lining its a funny angle that allows the beverage to spill a bit easier then normal an it makes them a bit more fragile. But other then that it is awesome!
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a nice hot cup of anything as well as ice cold!
What an awesome set of glasses. I love,love love them. I highly recommend them for hot & cold beverages. No sweat, cool to the touch even microwavable. They are like art!
