The coffee press was not of the quality that I would expect from starbucks. Although I love the style, I am not pleased that it is almost all plastic and feels flimsy. Also, it was advertised as being an 8 cp press but, in fact, only holds 40 oz of water empty filled to the very top (which would be hazardous) and even less when coffee is added (which of course if the whole point!) |

I was replacing the same press I had previously purchased which, sadly, got broken. I liked it enough to buy the same press, but I really think the price is unreasonable. At least the first one I bought came with a bag of coffee! |

I had the task of finding this press after we had seen in it about a year before in a store. To my surprise it was being given away free around Thanksgiving of 2009 when you signed up for reoccurring orders. I read other reviews and the handle is a little loose, but we like the acrylic and the design. I'm happy. |

I am very impressed with the workmanship but you should be aware of the fact that a "coarse" grind versus regular ground coffee is recommended by Starbucks when you use this press. I was so excited that I overlooked this recommendation on the product information. |

The press worked well however, the coffee lost its temperature very fast. If you are serving more than one person, unlike me, this may not be a problem. A double walled beaker might help. |

Can only unscrew top, but cannot unscrew coffee filter to clean it. This deco coffee press is different than what is sold in stores in terms of the handle, top, and being able to unscrew the coffee filter.
I am very disappointed with the functionality of this deco coffee press compared to other Starbucks coffee presses. |

I have never used a French press coffee maker before, I happened to get this coffee press as a promotional gift. I have been ordering the instant VIA which is great. But since Starbucks gave me this for free I decided to give it a try. The first time I used it I tried a coffee that is ground medium is for a drip machine with not so great results. "They recommend a course ground coffee." So I bought a bag of Starbucks coffee course ground and tried it again. The coffee came out amazing! I gave this product a 4 rating because it takes a little more work than an automatic machine but the results and taste is worth the extra effort. I am now a convert to the French Press technique. Buy it and get the Starbucks coffee it is just like being there. And if you are in a hurry there is always VIA! |
