Awesome, great product! I desire a strong, bold coffee that does not taste like car tire rubber. This is one of the best coffees my wife and I have ever had. It's the price that keeps this as a special occasion item though. We can't purchase it as often as we would like due to the cost. (Retirement Income) :) |

I found this coffee to be smooth and calm. It lacked after taste which I've found to be really great in other coffees. I thought that its flavor was more like a darker roast burnt flavor and I think that these beans would be best used for espresso or cafe mocha. Another thing which I didn't like about this coffee which plays a major roll in whether or not I like it is that it lacked "wake up power". When I drink a cup of coffee in the morning I really like it when it wakes me up and makes me feel alert. This coffee after I drank it I felt like it didn't do the job. I always drink Starbucks and I love to try all the different kinds they offer, which I am thankful for. I have read other reviews(not particularly about this coffee) which complained about coffee freshness. Try to buy the coffee when it first comes out, or if you notice it has new packaging(i.e. Red, Orange, Green Bags). Before you buy online, check your local Starbucks store to see if they have it, you can save yourself time and money. A French Press is the best way to brew coffee to get all the flavor. So far my favorite is Africa Blend(Red Bag). |

I was looking for a birthday present for my husband in late February, and since he's been infirm and his condition limits what he can enjoy, I thought of a special coffee as a good gift.
So I consulted your website and came up with Komodo Dragon, both for the exotic name, the fact that we had never heard of it, and the description of big syrupy body, green herbs, and spice notes sounded interesting. We liked it, and I finally got around to ordering more.
I chose whole beans. We like to grind our own. The only whole bean coffee we can buy at Econo-Foods in Northfield, Minnesota is Sumatra. We like it too, but it's nice to have a variety.
I'll order more, and may try some different flavors too.

The Komodo in a French Press is excellent.
I recently broke the glass carafe from my French press and was very disappointed when I could not find a replacement. I was forced to buy an expensive French press just to get a replacement carafe. I would appreciate having a replacement carafe available for purchase. |
