Product Info

A lovely pale-yellow cup with toasty notes & a slightly nutty taste.

Region japan

Product Details

With humble beginnings as “the people’s tea,” Genmaicha means “brown rice tea,” as it is composed of Sencha combined with roasted and occasionally popped brown rice (genmai). This delightful detail earned this tea its other nickname, “popcorn tea.” The rice adds a slightly nutty taste to the creamy cereal notes of this mild cup. The drink of the common man is now fashionable for all classes to enjoy and is one of the most popular Japanese teas worldwide.

How to Brew

For Best Brewing

  1. Use one heaping teaspoon of loose leaves per 8 fl oz of 175° water.
  2. Let it steep for 3 minutes. Wait patiently for perfection.

Green Tea

The liquor of a green tea is typically a green or yellow color, and flavors range from toasty, grassy (pan-fired teas) to fresh and streamed greens (steamed teas) with mild astringency.

Ingredients

GREEN TEA, PUFFED BROWN RICE.
