It doesn't matter where you are – on a camping trip, a boat or even at the office – it's always easy to make a cup of Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew. Just follow these steps to instant satisfaction and a perfect cup of coffee.

Each coffee requires slightly different amounts of time and temperature during the roasting process to create a cup at its peak of aroma, acidity, body and flavor. We classify our coffees in three roast profiles so you can easily find your desired flavor and intensity.

  • Blonde: Blonde-roasted coffees have a shorter roast time, lighter body and mellow flavors.
  • Medium: Medium-roasted coffees are balanced with smooth and rich flavors.
  • Dark: Dark-roasted coffees feature a fuller body and robust, bold flavors.

All Starbucks VIA® coffees are made with the same quality coffee beans as our whole bean coffees and are also produced under the guidelines of our C.A.F.E. (Coffee and Farmer Equity) Practices.

With Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew Decaf Italian Roast, you never have to be without the rich aroma and smooth taste of 100% arabica coffee. Just tear open a packet, add hot water, wait 10 seconds, and stir. Then enjoy the delicious dark roast coffee with that sweet, smoky flavor.

Starbucks VIA (especially, the Italian Roast) is a SUPERB investment! You MUST try it. :) In a 24-36 ounce liquid measuring cup, I add a shot or two of the Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Sauce to 8-10 ounces of 1-2% milk and microwave for 2-3 minutes. I then beat with a hand-held blended for 2-3 minutes. Add in a pack of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew Italian Roast and I'm in yummy heaven. I have all of the supplies ready next to the sink. Including clean-up time (just rinse everything off with hot water), this only takes ten minutes - tops. The Italian Roast is smooth yet bold. It has an excellent and sophisticated flavor. I just love the flavor. Especially, in this concoction that I made up. It really tastes a lot like the Starbucks white chocolate mocha that I love. Previously, I was making my speedy home-made latte/white-chocolate-mocha with a french press and a completely different brand of coffee. I'm always in a rush, so I tried the VIA one day. Wow. HUGE difference in flavor. I could not believe it. My concoction tasted great before but now it tastes perfect. I was concerned that the VIA would not taste that great, as it is instant coffee. I was wrong. It tastes great. Seriously, best coffee I have bought. I usually buy from a small local coffee business. However, this just tastes so so so much better. And the VIA Italian Roast has a distinctly great flavor, all on its own. If you haven't tried it, and you're a coffee fan such as myself, you have to try this flavor. The time and money you save with a VIA cup is worth the try. What's more, you will not have to give up flavor quality. Who knew this could be possible. Plus, you can easily keep a few VIA packets in your car or purse, ect, in case of coffee emergencies. Seriously. Love It Great taste and ease of use. I keep some in my desk at work. No more coffee out of machines for me. Also good to take on trips. Cannot always find a store in the when traveling . June 9, 2013
Real good taste I use this in the evening for my cup of enjoyment. My only problem is I do not like the grit left in the bottom of the cup and that is why there is a loss of one star. April 5, 2013

Dark, rich decaf! I am consistently impressed with this Via product. I have a hard time finding dark decaf in whole beans to brew at home, so this is a fantastic alternative. It's especially great for traveling - no more bitter hotel room coffee! Thank you Starbucks and VIA!! April 2, 2013
